Well located. Room walls are paper thin, guests talk in the corridor with little to no regard for other guests, late at night. Tried to contact reception to no avail. My room also smelt of cigarette smoke, even though it’s a non smoking room. Disappointing, given I based this booking on previous reviews.

Rooms in Italy must be tiny as we booked this as it had ‘larger than average’ rooms. The room was clean and tidy, bathroom also clean and tidy and pleased that they actually had bath sheets and not tiny bath towels. Breakfast is served at a cafe in the neighbouring street. Get there before 0900 to get a great choice of crossaint. You can’t fault the location of the rooms, close to the Vatican and may other sights. I have two criticisms, the bed was very creaky and when we visited the building was covered in a tarpaulin type of material and scaffolding.

Long weekend in a nice location

Trying not to be critical and I like to keep it fair so I’ll try a new method of reviewing today. First I will say that the location was great! Close to Vatican and other sights. Great small street culture near by and good food and shops around. But, If I was the owner of this place I would do the following; 1). Put a mattress topper on the bed! Bed was flat and tired. 2) replace the sheets and duvet covers. They were ok ,and appears they were high quality in their time but way passed their prime. Like a pair of jeans with a few holes worn in them. Not crisp. 3). Install towel hangars in bathroom. Once I used a towel there was no where to hang it 4) add some insulation. Could here the people in the room next door. Clearly even in a normal talking voice. 5) display the hotel name outside. (Maybe it is not allowed by the local government but then a better explanation would have been nice) When we arrived at 10:30 pm even though we notified our arrival time there was no one there. No sign and no way to know where the hotel was. Luckily found a doorbell with the name on it. Waited 45 minutes for someone to come. Called many times but no one answered. Thanks for a nice time. People were helpful and overall not bad but would I stay again??? Not sure!

We chose this hotel because of the location and it was perfect. The staff were very friendly and the room clean. It does not really look like a hotel from the outside and it is basically just a few rooms that make up a hotel. Basic breakfast served at cafe in the next street. The bathroom door was hard to close and open and the walls/door was not at all soundproof. But all in all very price worthy. We had a lovely stay in Rome.

Stayed here in April 19 for 4 nights and loved it! Greeted by the lovely receptionist and shown around our room. Breakfast was at the cafe literally a 30sec walk around the corner and it was lovely! We opted for the Italian breakfast which was a pastry, yoghurt, fresh juice and a lovely cappuccino!!! The hotel is perfectly located so you can walk to all attractions and restaurants. The beds were comfy, showers hot and powerful, rooms cleaned daily and have good, quiet AC units! Would 100% recommend and if we are coming back to Rome we would stay here again!
